 Position: Ocean Recruiter 

 Location:  South East Asia - Philippines

 Reports to:  Senior Manager Recruiting

 Travel Requirement:  Approximately 50 - 60% (regional and international)

Experience: Management experience on an upscale cruise line is required

**Role Overview**

As a Recruiter, you will be responsible for ensuring a consistent and high-quality pipeline of candidates for all vessel-based positions. You will lead the recruitment process from strategy to execution, including assessment centres, interviews, and agency coordination. This role requires strong collaboration with internal departments and external partners to uphold Viking Cruises’ reputation as an Employer of Choice in the cruise industry.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Recruitment Strategy & Execution**

- Verify recruiting profiles and selection criteria with all relevant departments. 
- Regularly update recruiting requirements based on operational needs and HR policies. 
- Conduct personal and video interviews for onboard crew and officers. 
- Organise and execute assessment centres, including location planning, agency coordination, screening, interviewing, and reporting. 
-  Efficiently manage crewing requests using best practices to meet deadlines. 

** Candidate & Data Management**

- Manage and update the application pool database. 
- Supervise and maintain control over the candidate resource pool. 
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of recruitment status and key metrics. 

** Agency & Market Engagement**
- Maintain strong, trusted relationships with high-quality recruiting agencies in all relevant markets. 
- Participate in global recruiting events with partner agencies, adhering to SOPs and company standards. 
- Research competitor practices, visa requirements, and industry trends for benchmarking. 
- Employer Branding & Process Optimisation
- Support initiatives to strengthen employer branding in collaboration with recruiting marketing. 
- Follow and continuously improve defined recruiting processes to ensure efficiency and budget compliance. 

**Key Qualifications**

- Management experience on an upscale cruise line is required
- A good understanding of individual positions across all departments is a must 
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus 
- Excellent computer knowledge (Office, SuccessFactors), administrative experience 
- Excellent organisational and interaction skills 
- Ability to work independently, committed and crew-focused
