From problem framing through customer research to final shipped UI. You drive your own discovery; you do not wait for briefs. Customer research. Run interviews independently, synthesise findings, convert to design direction. You speak to internal customers - not always through PM. Design system contributions. Extend primitives, propose new patterns, document conventions. Your contributions outlive your tenure on any single feature. Mentoring designers.
