The Product Owner is accountable for defining and delivering a specific part of the product, ensuring it meets customer and market needs in terms of content, prioritization, quality, and overall value within agreed cost and timelines. They oversee this product area throughout its entire lifecycle, from initial definition to phase-out.

They work closely with one or more development teams, providing clear priorities, domain expertise, and direction. The Product Owner also ensures that all requirements are complete, consistent, and aligned with the broader product vision.

Internal Interactions: Product Line Manager, Product Manager, Project Manager, Quality Manager, Development Team (e.g. Scrum Master, Architect, Developers, Testers), Usability Engineers, Technical Writers and other stakeholders (e.g. Business Units, Product segments)

External Interactions: Customers, Radiographers, Radiologists, Hospital Administrators and IT Administrators etc.

**What are the responsibilities?**

-  Gather and synthesize stakeholder needs and requests
-  Collaborate with Product Managers to define and prioritize market requirements
-  Analyze and shape complex requirements into actionable concepts and solutions
-  Translate market needs into clear, prioritized software requirements
-  Develop detailed software requirements and functional specifications
-  Guide and support development teams, resolving conflicts around features and requirements
-  Drive team alignment on commitments and foster a sustainable development pace
-  Ensure product quality by validating iteration outcomes against defined acceptance criteria
-  Support development teams in effort estimation and planning activities
-  Evaluate and prioritize change requests alongside existing backlog items
-  Coordinate with peers across feature areas to enable aligned and efficient product development
-  Provide inputs and insights to support overall project management activities
-  Assist in product roll-out through presentations, workshops, and training for sales and engineering teams

**What do I need to know to qualify for this job?**

Qualification: A Bachelors / Masters degree in Engineering and / or MCA or equivalent.

**Desired Knowledge & Experience:**

 - 12–15 years of experience in the healthcare or medical device industry (e.g., Product Owner, System Engineer, System Analyst, Technology Lead), including at least 3 years as a Product Owner
-  3–5 years of hands-on software development experience
-  Strong platform mindset with the ability to think in scalable, reusable solutions
-  Solid understanding of clinical and radiological workflows, along with Healthcare IT systems
-  Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as DICOM, IHE, and HL7
-  Good understanding of software systems classified as medical devices
-  Basic knowledge of regulatory standards and quality frameworks (e.g., FDA 21 CFR 820 QSR, ISO 13485) related to medical device safety
-  Experience working in Agile environments, preferably in a Product Owner role
-  Strong expertise in requirements engineering, including elicitation, analysis, and documentation
-  Hands-on experience with product lifecycle management and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
-  Proven ability to collaborate effectively with international and cross-cultural teams
-  Experience in presenting products, demos, and solutions to customers and stakeholders
